No TomTOm Traffic on the GO 5000


Hello,
Is there an issue with traffic etc at the moment as I just cannot connect. Have done restart etc but to no avail.
I am in the UK.

Took about 5 minutes from turn on but is okay on my GO5000.

Fine here Worcestershire....

Have you tried a Drum roll restart on the device ????
Charge the device for at least 2Hrs "OR" have the device plugged into a power supply
Press and hold the on/off button until you hear a drum-roll sound then release the on/off button.
You won’t lose anything; it’s just like rebooting your PC

I use a Soft/drum-roll start after any upgrade large or small.
It’s also useful to keep in mind for sorting out most minor niggles......

Also, try....
Twenty-second to log off…..
The RF shielding on my PC sound system is not very good, and I can hear the Tomtom SIM Card logging in/out
When you turn the device off, it takes the SIM card 10 seconds to log off
I find if I turn the device to Sleep... NOT 'Turn Off'
Then count slowly up to say 20 seconds, and turn the device back on
This reboots the SIM card and it’s much quicker than a Drum-roll start

Hi yes all of the above I have tried. Cannot connect to my PC as I am 250 miles from home.
Hello - just now started to work. I do not think it was my machine at fault and cannot see any announcements if TomTom server issues.
