GO 500 Traffic service not working


What's happening to live traffic . I have reset and updated go500 . Ty says it connected and active but still not working . What's going on tom tom

The only reason I invested in my Go 6100 was because of live traffic. It seems to be not working a significant amount of times often with TomTom saying something like "there has been an outage". I would like TomTom to admit and publish when and what percentage of time this occurs rather than sending paying customers round the usual smokescreen loops (reset, or are you logged in etc.)
Agreed my GO 510 is down again since Monday 200217, this has happened so many times in the past but this time round is the worst. 😞

I've wasted nearly more than 5 hours today trying to get it working again and its still unable to work. Did everything like updating of software and hard reset of the device yet it is still not functioning.

Should you still experience connectivity issues with TomTom Traffic you're likely suffering from a different issue. In that case, please see this FAQ [support FAQ – TomTom Traffic/LIVE services not working]. Please note, that factory resetting your device will delete your personal information, e.g. My Places and destination prediction data. You can save and restore My Places with MyDrive.

Should that not help you solve your issue, please contact Customer Service and provide them with the information mentioned in the end of the FAQ. With that information they'll be able to investigate your issue further.

Am relieved to hear that TomTom are investigating the problems with Traffic.

My Go5100 spasmodically connects to Live Traffic in the UK then drops out altogether, despite data and services being shared under Information and Privacy, GPRS showing as Connected, Traffic (Speed cameras and My Drive) Activated and full power.

From the look of problems other have been having TomTom have been aware of this for some considerable time.
Any clues as to when a software update will be issued to fix this problem?

The issues you mention are not related to the one discussed here. The issue with some Australian devices has already been solved. Also the topic you link to is a year old and that particular issue has been solved long ago.

There might be problems with Traffic connections due to various reasons. I'd first recommend to check this FAQ [support FAQ – TomTom Traffic/LIVE services not working]. Please note, that factory resetting your device will delete your personal information, e.g. My Places and destination prediction data. You can save and restore My Places with MyDrive.

Should that not help you solve your issue, please contact Customer Service and provide them with the information mentioned in the end of the FAQ. With that information they'll be able to investigate your issue further. You can also start a new topic about your issue so that we can help you better and others with a similar issue may find help easier.

Thanks Mikko, have already checked through the FAQ and everything is activated and connected as it should be, but Live Traffic is not working consistently or reliably.
Have a busy few days ahead but will try phoning CS when I have time.
Have contacted Customer Services, worth the wait, all now fixed by them tweaking settings their end.

Good morning, I'm from Rome - Italy, my GO 500 have the same problem: the connection with my iPhone 5S (iOS 10.3.1) via bluetooth is stable but often the service is not runnig. Sometimes the service works but accidentally the symbol with two cars near the X appears on the right of LCD.

I have tried to:

- reset TT GO
- change phone (android)
- never disconnect the power cable of the TT GO 500
- I have already checked through the FAQ and everything is activated and connected as it should be

but any solution solved the problem

how can I do now?
