I have done the measurements according to recommendations: same time in the morning and before eating liquids or food. For 6x a week I do physical activities (weight lifting for 6x a week and 3x aerobic exercise) I have a regulated diet, calories set right now for weight loss (I lost 1.5kg) in two weeks following this carbohydrate restriction diet as I do every year aiming at fat loss. In my balance of bioimpedance Tanita my body composition indicates 15% of body fat currently being that before the diet was 17%, therefore it indicates a loss of 2% while TomTom Touch indicated to me before the diet 26% and currently 25.5 % Of body fat (I was weighing 95kg and now weighing 93.1kg) the balance data seem more accurate to me and maybe they are never identical but the difference is huge between them!
Another detail is that it seems that the software only understands that there is a change in body composition if you indicate before a change of weight, if you lose weight it indicates a slight loss of fat, if you gain weight it identifies a fat increase, case You do not change your weight it simply keeps the body composition, ignoring the possibility of you maintaining the weight while gaining muscle mass and losing fat. I do not know if the problem is in the hardware or software that interprets the information but this needs to be adjusted, I'm disappointed with the results presented, not with the numbers (15% or 25,5%) but with the lack of precision of how much I'm really losing fat.
