Hi all,

We've just released a new v1.24.0 software update for the TomTom Touch activity tracker and it's available for download in MySports Connect.

What's new?

  • You can now double-tap on your Touch to end a workout.
  • The battery alert is now shown for a shorter time
  • We now add your estimated distance from your workout to your daily distance metric outside an activity.

Stay active! :D

Cheers, Mikko

Sorry to hear about the continued problems. We are looking at it as a priority, but we are still struggling to know exactly what state your devices are in.

A quick suggestion, what happens if you go to the phone's settings->bluetooth menu, select the TomTom touch, and hit "Forget This Device", then re-pair the band?
I work for TomTom but the views expressed here are my own.

What is your smartphone? And the system you use on it? Mine is the iPhone 6 on iOS 10.2 (14C92). I only synchronize now with the computer. :S

When you plug it into your computer it will prompt you in the MySports Connect software that an update is available. Updates cannot be done through the app or the website.

I don't see a prompt. If it isn't through the app or website where does the prompt appear - on the device? I didn't get a prompt on either the device or the website on my pc. Thanks

You do not use the device or the website to get updates, you use the MySports Connect software which you should have downloaded from tomtom.com/123 to register the device. If you do not have the software go to tomtom.com/123 and download MySports Connect, install it and plug the device into the computer. It will sync and check if an update is required.

I updated my touch today and my device is not working anymore. After a few minutes all I see in the screen is: www.tomtom.com/123
I connect it with my computer again and then I see there is already 1 stripe of battery lost...

Try a factory reset as the update may not have installed properly. To do a factory reset, make sure the Connect software is running and dock the watch to your computer. The Connect window will open; press the gear at the top right and select Factory reset from the next screen. Follow the steps provided, giving the watch the same name and using the same email address. When prompted to register or sign in to MySports, select sign in and use your existing account credentials. It is fairly straightforward and should take less than 5 minutes.

You should seriously think about making the downgrade available !!! This version 1.24 is defective. In the previous version it worked perfectly ...

We are still actively looking at this problem, but still struggling to re-create.

One of the theories we are looking at, is whether this is related to certain phone notifications. To help us, could you let us know whether you have loads of notifications in your iphone notification centre. (see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201925 ). If so, what happens if you clear out all your notifications and then connect to the band?

We don’t want to do a universal roll-back at this point, we are working on understanding and fixing this issue, for the five users who are reporting this. Clearly, if we can’t make progress quickly, then we have to reconsider our options.

    Thanks for your understanding.

I'm not even believing ... after I cleared the notifications, I got back together and connected normally !!! Thank you 1000 times. :D:D:D

That's fantastic, thanks for you patience to this point.

Just out of interest, do you know how many notifications you had in there? (Just approximately.)

There were lots of notifications ... I have many applications installed. I think more than 50 notifications accumulated in the period of one week!

I'm having the same trouble trying to connect my TT Touch with my phone. Unfortunately, MySports Connect Application on my PC (Windows 7) does not recognize the Touch either. It simply say "Connect your TomTom device to your computer" when I start MySports Connect and plugin the device. I have restarted my PC and tried different connecting the Touch before and after starting the PC and the application, however nothing changes.

When trying to connect the Touch to MySports on my Android phone the Touch shows me the check mark after going through the bluetooth "Activate your Device" procedure in MySports but the app always gives me the "Oops something went wrong" message and won't connect. Sometimes I can enter the PIN sometimes I can't get that far before the error message appears.

Additionally, when this began happening today I opened MySports and was asked to login in the App for the first time since my initial installation 2 weeks ago. Now nearly every time I have opened the App since I also have to login and accept the Terms & Conditions.

I tried getting rid of all my notifications and everything in the FAQ about pairing and unpairing the device but that didn't help. Below is the information I can provide about my devices:

    Tomtom Touch:
    Product ID - JCxxxxxxxxx
Software version - 1.24.0 (I think I have had v1.24.0 since I first intialized the device 2 weeks ago)
    PC - Lenovo T420 Windows 7 SP1
    Mobile phone Samsung S7
    Android version - 6.0.1

This morning I was able to finally connect to MySports Connect Application on my PC again. I then submitted app data and tried to pair my device to my phone with bluetooth again to no avail. Now I don't even get a PIN showing up on my Touch. After a few tries the app suggested I reset the device using MyConnect. So I did that and still cannot connect using bluetooth and get a sarcastic error message, "Bluetooth isn't for everybody Let's agree to end this ...."
This would be a funny message if having a functioning mobile app was just some extra fluff and not a central aspect of a fitness tracker. But since it is pretty important the message just manages to tick me off a bit more.
This was a gift. Is there anyway to get a refund directly from TomTom or do I have to ask my in-laws for a receipt to exchange it? :(

I had exactly the same issue as XamDdy. Whenever my iPhone was trying to connect to my TomTom Touch, it looked like it was rebooting, displaying "TomTom". It was very frustrating, taking my entire afternoon... Clearing these and re-pairing worked like a charm! It still looks like a firmware bug that needs to be fixed... I had +100 notifications, cumulated over more than a week.
