Hi all,

We've just released a new v1.24.0 software update for the TomTom Touch activity tracker and it's available for download in MySports Connect.

What's new?


  • You can now double-tap on your Touch to end a workout.
  • The battery alert is now shown for a shorter time
  • We now add your estimated distance from your workout to your daily distance metric outside an activity.

    My Touch wont update to 1.24.0. It only updated to 1.18.1 and now says it is updated. But not to the latest ;D Shall i try again in a few hours or? =)

    Rollout might be phased. I'd wait a little longer.

    After I did the update, it is resetting ... I went back to the factory settings and it did not work! Can you undo the update? It stopped working. :@

    Hi, sorry to hear this. Can you be more specific with what you are seeing? Is it possible to upload the logs so we can investigate.

    To do this, go into the settings section of the mysportsConnect desktop app, go to "advanced settings" at the bottom and press "Submit app data".

    The Update from 1.18.1 to 1.24.0 was installed.
    I received 2 big problems:
    - It is impossible to connect Touch with IPad or with Android mobile. The version 1.18.1 had small troubles with connection. 1.24.0 is tragedy!
    - full battery drainage in 6 hours!!! It is similar to drainage due to repeating unsuccessful attempts to connect to tablet.

    I'm sure it is software bug. Looking for new correct version.

    Could you let us know more details? Like which sort of device, and what version of ios / android it is running?

    Could you also send through some diagnostic data:

    - Connect your band or watch to the mySports connect desktop app
    - Go to settings (the cog icon)
    - Go to advance settings (at the bottom)
    - Go to “Submit app data” section
    - As you click send now, also press on the keyboard SHIFT+CTRL (windows) or CMD+LMB (Mac)

    Damn, thats not good.. I updated mine last night..

    Have not tried anything with it yet. But after i read this im not really sure if i want to try connecting it haha :D

    But on the other side im going to return it to the shop and get my money back. If it does break of course..

    Please do keep these two reports in context!

    There are many users that we never hear about on forum, for whom but we can see from our servers that things are doing just fine.

    I completed the procedure "Submit app data".

    More info about my hardware:
    Tomtom Touch:
    Product ID - JCxxxxxxxxx
    Software version - 1.24.0 (updated today). It was 1.18.1 before.

    IPad:
    Model - Air 2 (MGHX2HC/A)
    IOS - 10.1

    Mobile phone Huawei P9
    Android version - 6.0

    Thanks for that. I'm taking a look. Could I also ask you a few more things

    1. Did it previously work with both the ipad and the P9?
    2. Have you tried the full procedure to factory reset? That is
    - connect to mysportsConnect desktop app and do a reset
    - go to the settings-bluetooth menu on ALL mobile devices to which you have tried pairing, and forget the band
    - re attempt the pairing procedure

    (It can be possible to get it into a funny half paired state with one of your devices which makes it difficult to pair to a different device.)

    I used IPad only. Huawei P9 was used after many unsuccessful attempts to connect with IPad.
    All recommendations from Tomtom system were done.
    All operations listed in your reply were done.
    No result.

    Touch was purchased 8 days ago.

    OK, if you want the battery not to go flat then do another reset, and simply dont attempt to pair it with the phone or ipad. You can then use it just with the desktop app while we look at this.

    Our P9 testing was done against a later android version (6.0.1) on the Huawei EVA-L09 P9 Standard Edition, although it's working fine for us on the ipad2 running iOS 10.1

    So it's strange that you're seeing issues. Do you have any other bluetooth devices paired?

    Dear Colleague (I worked as software engineer, Assembler/C/C++),

    Tomtom Touch was resetted.
    The programm MySports (on IPad) was de-installed. IPad was updated (IOS 10.2) and restarted.
    MySport was installed on IPad again. The tracker was synchronized with IPad again. I worked about 10 seconds, and again problem - no connection...
    The drainage of Battery - on the old level 15% for 20 minutes...
    All nearest Bluetooth devices are disactivated...

    I see 2 possible reasons in this case:
    1. Bad work of Bluetooth adapter in Tomtom Touch;
    or
    2. Bug in your software (1.24.0).

    Please inform me about my next actions:
    1. To return this device to shop and to receive new (Guarantee case);
    or
    2. To wait next revision of your software where this bug would be cleared;
    or
    3. To deliver this device to Your office in Amsterdam (I live in Haarlem) where your engineers can check device for problems.

    It's always good to talk to a fellow developer, it means that you are aware that things are not always so simple as they seem.

    All the other bands that we know of are working fine against the ipad2. I suggest, that it may not be nearby bluetooth devices, it may also be any other apps on your ipad, or something on your particular band that is causing your system to behave differently.

    As I'm sure you realise, it's not likely that we can fix this issue, while we have no other system which is showing the same behaviour...if it were something we can recreate, then, sure, we will fix it.

    So, if you want to take it along to the offices in Amsterdam, then I can look at getting a replacement to you. We can't do diagnostics on the spot, since our product development team are not based in the Netherlands. Or, sure, getting a replacement from your store could also be an option. Whatever works best for you.

    As I'm sure you are aware, maybe the device was dropped, or suffered an EMC spike from your computer's USB at the time of the update, and has killed the electronics. It really is difficult to tell from my position.

    I do look forward to getting you going again.

    Ok, there are 2 solutions:
    1. To replace it in MediaMarket - where it was purchased;
    Or
    2. To deliver to your office in Amsterdam.
    I think best solution is to replace it in store - we shall save our time.

    Hi guys,
    I have the same problem with my TT Touch :/. Before updating everything worked fine. After install new software 1.24.0. start problems:

    after full charging batery, band is dead after couple hours (without using device on training). Since yesterday i cant use him beacouse i i see on the screen the same like another user, u have it on pic( i used pic of another user, i hope u r not mad about it ). So i think u have some bug in new software:/

    what should i do now ?

    i use iphone 6 for blutooth connection.

    Hi,

    I replaced Tomtom Touch.
    The synchronization with PC - No problem.
    Connection with IPad is not fully successful:
    Device is in list of BT (on IPad). After first successful connection and synchronization IPad DID NOT found Tomtom Touch.
    Probable reason - soft bag with stack. Bluetooth works, problem starts after Sync process.
    I'll wait new version of SW and shall connect Touch again. I'll use cable connection in this time.
    I'll ask you about meeting in Amsterdam if this problem will not be solved in new SW.

    Guys, I think I've figured out what's happening ... After the 1.24 update, my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.2) causes the bluetooth to search for the bracelet, restarting several times. I got a new bracelet, never used and I tried to pair with my iPhone and the same thing happens. To solve, I had to unpair with the phone and the bracelet stopped restarting. In the previous version 1.18 this did not happen with the same iPhone, running normally.

    1.24 has general problem with Bluetooth. Something wrong with pairing procedure. Additional bug, cold Touch is nonstabil ;) after 30 seconds on hand - work is normal... true, it's not jokes.
    May be I can sign contract with Tomtom as tester? It's joke, of course.
    I'll wait new SW version.
