Thank you for this link - worked perfectly. Would it also work for other members of my family sharing ? I am nervous that they would have to press the button to purchase, but then would have to pay if the family sharing was not recognised. Thanks if you can comment
Good day. Please help me to solve a problem. I have bought tomtom app for apple devices long time ago (usa&canada). And it still works well on my ipad. I'd like also to have installed tomtom app on my iphone4 (ios 7.1.2), but i cant install it because tom tom from appstore requires to have at least ios 9 on device, which is not possible for iphone 4 (latest and final is ios7.1.2.)
Please let me know what should i do step by step in order to instal tomtom on iphone4.
thanks

Hi chuchu,

Welcome to the Community!

Unfortunately, I can't help you with your AppStore problem as that's not our product. I'd recommend you to contact Apple regarding it. Some other users here might also have some tips for you.

If you already haven't, I'd recommend you to check out our new GO Mobile app. As an owner of the old app you'll get a free 3 year subscription to Unlimited Navigation for GO Mobile. Please, see the links below for more information.

GO Mobile app for iPhone and the old Navigation app

How many free kilometres can I use with the TomTom GO Mobile app?

Which features will be added in the future to the GO Mobile for iPhone app?

Cheers, Mikko

Hi medamine60,

Welcome to the Community!

Did you open the link on your phone?

Should the advise here not help you get this sorted I'd recommend you to get in touch with Customer Service. They can help you get it sorted 😃

Cheers, Mikko
Hello,

I have tom tom for the us, Hong Kong and Europe. Does this entitle me to 3x 3 years on the Tomtom go app (not that i want it is going backwards, though we will be forced eventually...)? All of these versions were paid for and hence if a user with a single app gets 3 years, then I expect a user with 3 apps to get 9...?
So to confirm.. I purchased TomTom Western Europe in 2011.
It no longer shows in the app store, nor in my purchase history.

I follow the link
TomTom Western Europe: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id326075062?mt=8
But it wants to charge $59.99. I get to the phone where it wants my apple password/fingerprint to purchase.

Are you saying it will NOT charge me?
Below is my purchase "details" (no identifiable data for me)
Receipt Date: 03/20/11
TomTom Western Europe, v1.6, Seller: TomTom (4+)
$74.99
I don't need a reply. Even after clicking the 59.99 "Purchase" choice, it placed a popup on the screen saying I already downloaded and paid for an earlier version, so I wasn't charged. Your site was far more helpful than Apple, they were worthless when I tried to get answers from them.
What happens if I hadn't bought one of these apps and I press buy???

I am exactly in the same situation: I bought TomTom Western Europe back 2011 and now I followed the link to TomTom Western Europe and followed TomTom's Team instructions while being assured that I would be charged again.

I was using the same Apple ID in both cases.

Now I have been charged a second time for the same application. TomTom Western Europe.

I have contacted Apple and they say that they cannot refund me because they are different apps! I am insinsting with Apple that it is the same application (TomTom Western Europe) but I would be grateful if TomTom could explain to Apple I don't have to pay twice for the same application:
Purchased on 29/09/2017: TomTom Western Europe MTBVJDT309). https://itunes.apple.com/app/id326075062?mt=8
Purchased on 17/02/2012: TomTom Europe, v1.9, (MHKB9BB39N)

Thanks!

Daniel
After Apple updated iTunes and removed the option to manage the Apps. I can no longer install TomTom app on my iPhone 5s.
Before that I was deleting the app using iTunes when I didn't need to use it as it is taking plenty of space.

Now I can't see TomTom app anywhere to download it again. Does it mean after purchasing the app few years ago I can just forget about it ?

Please fix this issue soon as you are getting plenty of unhappy customers here.

If I can't install the app again, I will demand a refund

Link doesn't open for me at all. I purchased EUROPE map few years ago.
After a failed update to IOS 11, I had to backup my iPhone 5S and then restore it after a successful clean installation of IOS 11.1.2. I noticed "TomTom Western Europe" was gone so looked in my purchased list to reinstall it. Unfortunately it isn't there so I started to Google the problem and I've landed here.

I think I might potentially have a similar problem as @Daniel3232. I used the hyperlink in the TomTom article (https://itunes.apple.com/app/id326075062?mt=8), clicked purchase @ £54.99 but then when it asked to confirm the credit card details for the purchase I got nervous, as the App Store on the phone still didn't recognise the fact that I purchased this software in August 2011.

As per @para_un14, using the iTunes software on the PC is no longer an option.

What to do?

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm trying to do a fresh reload, and if I open the link provided to get my copy of TomTom Europe also just gives me a page to repurchase. I got on to Apple who were unable to do anything as TomTom have marked this app as not the same as the one I purchased (?????) so how the hell do I get my very expensive app working again please TomTom????

Edit: open this thread on your iPhone/iPad and follow the link on page one to your product (make sure to be logged in on the same appleID as your original purchase). Press "Buy" and you will be able to re-download the app free of charge.
