I bought Tomtom in google play store for my HTC incredible. It's working fine with two exceptions. I bought the add ons for hr traffic and speed camera's. In my services it says I've successfully purchased but says pending activation. I've not received any emails other than Google's confirmation of purchase. Who do I activate the services? It's really not clear.

    Same for me. I have sent an email with my payment confirmation. The weird thing is that one in-app purchase was delivered (HD traffic) and the other one wasn't (speed cams).

    Let wait and see what they are going to do about it.

    It gets worse. I got to my destination using TomTom, worked just as good as dedicated units, so far so good.....

    Turn TomTom off and phone freezes, black screen. Had to do a soft reset and now when o go back into TomTom services it says I don't have any. It no longer says activation pending. I've sent an email to TomTom intl bv for both orders as I'm worried ill get charged twice if I download again. I'll report back when I get a reply.

    Yea, I had the same. Saw Pending Activation. And now it's gone. I am sure they can see I paid for it and they will fix it. Hope they do it before the one month speed cams service is over :)

    I have the same error but with the addition when I exit TomTom then I get a message on the Android messagepanel saying something about TomTom HD failed.

     

    It gets worse. Due to this errormessage I thought that the entire paymenttransaction failed, so I bought the TomTom HD once  more - and suddenly I got 2 TomTom HD - both pending activation - I left TomTom on all night but the result was not a success.

    Now I have bought 2 TomTom HD and it doesn't work/not activated.

     

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.4 (Samsung original).

    Hopefully someone from TomTom will be reading this (hint hint) and pop a reply to offer their input to these issues and get them resolved.

    Yes thats what I hope too. Since You can't contact TomTom-support regarding Android. It's not possible to register a question with support if there is an issue with their Android-app.

     

    This is something TomTom should have made possible the moment they released the app !:catmad:

    Yes, you can ask a question about the Android app. Just select iPhone first. Then you will see a form where you can change iPhone to Android.

    It's a bit of a workaround.

    Oh, one more thing. I purchased the Speed Cams while on Wifi. On wifi it is listed as Activation Pending. On 3G it is not listed at all.

    I have read issues where there were problems with downloading while on wifi or 3G. Switching to the other solved it for some.

    Hi Alrik

    Android-support has now been activated (at least on the danish site). So I have registered my issue with TomTom.
    I will update when I get some news from TomTom.

    Same problem here (France).

     

    1 month HD traffic bought --> activation pending --> Nothing at all but less 4,99 on my account...

     

    I've also opened a question on the support page (hard to find imho).

     

    'Waiting for the solution and one COMPLETE month HD traffic when it will be back in action, not my month started at the purchased date.

    I have a somewhat different problem but probably related problem, also on a sgs2 with android 4.04. When i connect on wifi and go to my services hd traffic and flitsers are listed and they are indeed working on wifi.

     

    but on 3g the services are not listed i get sometimes an error cannot connect to the network or it will just hang on the menu, also on 3g the hd traffic local search and flitsers are not working.

     

    i contacted support and they reported they have had some problems with logins and i should keep trying the next couple of days, they also refunded the days that i could not use the service.

     

    this was yesterday, today the services again only work on wifi.

    Well, I finally got home to see if there was any difference being on wifi. Unfortunately for me, both on wifi and 3g it says I have no services. Still waiting on my bank statements daily to see if I've been charged. And as yet, no responce from TomTom Int'l BV where payment gets sent to. No reply from a TomTom representative on here either I see.It's quite fustrating as the sat nav package works very well indeed. I've done about 600 miles over the last 2 days and used the package without fault. Would be nice to have had the camera locations working and would have been better to have been able to avoid the 12 mile traffic jam I got stuck in due to a crash which the HD Traffic should have been able to reroute me.

     

    It's quite bad to have to see both sides of the company operations and I do hope this is just a glitch that gets sorted, but it would be nice for someone to acknowledge receipt of my emails and for someone to come on here, even if just to say 'we will look in to this and get back to you'.

    I'm afraid Tomtom is not exactly famous for it's customer services, or rather it is famous but for all the wrong reasons.

     

    I too ordered HD Traffic. Initially it said 'activation pending', but now it says that I have no services at all... ho-hum...

    My experience is that if you buy the extra services over wifi, they might not show when you're using the app over 3G. And maybe vice versa. But I have not experienced that. Or even tried it.

    Had the same problem.

    I installed safety cameras first without problem.

    Then I bought HD Traffic, but it was only pending.

    Contacted support yesterday. Today they have updated my accout manually, and now I have both.

     

    Really good service from Norway.

    I phoned Customer Services, and a helpful operative sent me an e-mail with a link to attach my Google Play receipt. Having sent this, my HD Traffic was working within a few minutes.

     

    Good service Tomtom(!)

    Just got an email from UK customer support, looks like it will be a similar outcome I'm glad to say. They have no trace of any purchase and have requested copies of invoices etc for the purchases. Sounds like its similar to others. Will deal with it when I get home and can attach the relevant documents. Will report back again.

    Yea, that could be reason. I happened to be able to make a screenshot of the payment.

    Seems weird though. This means that they have to activate every faulty order manually. Ouch.

    From the last development that you have described here, I've sent my two receipts to TomTom and will wait for their answer.

    What is strange here is that my two licenses for TomTom HD appears and disappears from the list of "my services".

     

    Well now I will wait and see what TomTom does to resolve the issue.

    Yea, same here. They appeared and disappeared like a yo-yo. But they it fixed within the hour after I sent in my screenshot.

    We're investigating how this is happening.  In the meantime, if it does happen could you try to exit the TomTom shop within the app, and then open it again, to see if the service becomes available?  


     


    If that doesn't work, please do contact our support team and provide your Google Play receipt so they can fix it manually.

    Exiting the TomTom shop do not help, logging off and on doesn't help, exiting the app doesn't help.
    I've just added my two receipts to my support-case and hopefully that will resolve this.

    The issue was solved after having sent my reciepts to TomTom Support.

    I just hope that noone else is going to have this problem.
