Curfer activation does not work


I have bought a new Curfer and activating it via the app does not work:
- I use an iPhone 6 (iOS 10.3.1)
- Bluetooth connection between the Curfer and my iPhone is working
- Blue led on Curfer is on and green led is blinking
- I have an active internet connection via 4G (tested speed is 20Mb downoad and 10Mb upload)
- I am using the latest version of the app
- My car is a Mazda 3 (2010)

I have waited about 10 minutes, but the app stays in step 3 (Activering in behandeling) with a 'spinning circle'.

How can I make this work?

The problem is resolved. After the latest iOS TomTom Curfer app update activating showed an error that the Curfer was already activated under another account. However this was a new Curfer, so maybe somethinh went wrong during my previous activation requests. TomTom support removed the activation for my Curfer and after that I could activate.
