Disappointed with Watch strap

Very disappointed with the durability of the TomTom watch straps. After 4 months since the purchase, it broke a little below the button. The value of these straps, in Brazil at least, is 10% of the value of the watch. I took it to the store, who sent it to the distributor, who said that it will not do anything. Sincerely, for the value of the watch and spare straps, and for several comments on the internet about breakages on the same part of the strap, it is very difficult for us to be loyal to this brand. I expected another kind of response. I just wanted to share with you what happened

The strap is covered under warranty. Call Customer support and they will take care of it, they are very good about replacing them. To get the number for Customer Support, go to http://tomtom.com/support, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen). The best way to avoid damaging the strap is to not take the watch out of the strap when charging. It is designed so that the dock slips between the watch and the band which limits the amount of twisting. Also, when taking it on and off do not yank on the strap, pull it gently to the desired tightness then snap it in place, which puts less stress on rubber.

I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.

I experienced similar issue almost 1 year ago :

Tomtom sent me a spark3 strap. Less comfortable but shockproof.
Pleasantly surprised with the warranty service of TomTom. After the answer received from the shop where I had purchased the watch, indicating that my claim was not attended by TomTom, and following the recommendation received in this forum, I requested the TomTom warranty service via phone, who asked me to send copy of the proof of purchase and photo of the damaged strap. In no time, they proceeded to send me a strap free of charge. Congratulations TomTom! They have managed to turn an anger into the satisfaction of being customer of this brand :8

Hi all,

In case you have a problem with your strap - and your watch is in warranty - you can request a replacement strap here (if needed, change country from the bottom of the page).

Cheers, Mikko
