Hi. There must be something wrong with the download. Try a fresh download from tomtom.com/123. If you were downloading from there before then clear the browser cache.
Regards,
Stuart.

Hi, I'm dealing with the same problem. I'm trying to install My Sports Connect software on my pc (win 7) got NSIS error, reinstalled the virussoftware, renamed the Connect Software, changed from PC, put the software on a usb stick and then installed on another pc, it doesn't work. Whats the matter with this software and is there a proper solution ? I'm using a TomTom Multi-sport Cardio watch.

Hi. The windows installer is 53320440 bytes (right click a select properties to see the exact size). It's MD5 is

    f44d4d182a99eb64ba38693d53ccb0ff

(the MD5 is a value calculated by applying an algorithm over the file. If all the bytes of the downloaded file are correct then it's MD5 should match the above value).

You can get the MD5 of the downloaded installed either by

    1. Installing the Windows FCIV command line tool from
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/841290/availability-and-description-of-the-file-checksum-integrity-verifier-utility
(the link is down the page)
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/f/4/cf454ae0-a4bb-4123-8333-a1b6737712f7/windows-kb841290-x86-enu.exe

    and using
    fciv -md5 [installer exe]

    2. Downloading a MD5 program such as http://www.winmd5.com/

If the size or MD5 don't match then try rebooting your machine and cleaning your browser cache or using a different browser. If that still doesn't work then let me know what exactly didn't work and then if you use the following url
    https://sports.tomtom-static.com/downloads/desktop/mysportsconnect/latest/TomTomMySportsConnectInstaller.exe?forumuser=[user]
    e.g. ?formuser=P01ter

and I can maybe try and see what happens to your download request (where the data actually comes from from depends on your location, so someone is Australia isn't downloading from a server in the UK).

    Regards,
    Stuart.

Hi. If you mean the downloaded installer from the above link worked then there must have been a corrupted download in the cache. Changing the url (i.e. by adding the ?forumuser parameter) would force a new download and bypass any cached version (since the url wouldn't match any cached version).

    Glad it's sorted,

    Stuart.

    Hi Stewart,

sorry but this is all abacadabra for me. I downloaded a file from Windows, a fciv file.
What would be the next step?

    Hi. If you
    1. Run the file it will ask where to install it.
    2. Enter your home directory or use the Browse button to select it. Click Ok to extract the files
    3. Open a command window. Press Windows key + R and type cmd.exe
    4. That open a terminal in your your home directory (the current directory is shown before the flashing cursor).
If the current directory is not your home directory not then change directory (cd) to it with
cd [your home dir e.g. C:\Users\Me]
    5. Run fciv in the command terminal by typing
fciv -md5 [location of where you downloaded the installer.exe]

However, you might want to first try downloading the file with the ?forumuser=Speedy65 since that will ensure it's not using a cached version.

    Regards,
    Stuart.

Stuart, thanks for your help but I'm not a computerexpert, I tried to translate your information to Dutch perhaps it would help me, but it doesn't.
I'l ask a friend perhaps he understands the steps etc. Arjen
