How can I stop TomTom MySports? I can see "Not connected" icon and notification on my smartphone (Android).
How to get rid of that icon?
I have installed ver. 2.2.17-907048b .
Thanks

Close it like you would any other app (it will depend on your phone, normally you double click the home button and it shows all open apps and you swipe to close them),

I hope this helps, please let me know if this answered your question. If it did, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.

Double cluck or single click home button does not stop this application. It stops other but not MySports.
The only way to get rid of the notification is:
Open Android Setup - Apps - find MySports - Force Stop - confirm OK.
    I have Android 6.0.1.
    Pretty annoying.

If it's just the notification that you want to get rid of then try go to the notification and select "ignore messages like this". On my Android I am able to do this.

If you want to "stop" or "hibernate" the MySports App - then get the Greenify app from the Google Playstore (or other stores) and "greenify" the app. That is what I do on my Android phone and it works perfectly. Greenify will "hibernate" an app and this should help with any annoying notifications and for those apps that fail to sleep and consume resources on your phone. When you want to use MySports App again then just go into it.

I also don't see the reason why the app needs to have a permanent "Not connected" notification. I suppose it has to do with the sync process continuing to run in the background? Seems unnecessary though, especially when there's no real way to stop the process. Why not only show the notification when a device is connected?

I've taken to blocking notifications for the app altogether, but what other notifications will I miss out on?

I can block all notifications per app, but I would like a notification when there is a problem, or when an activity is ready, or when the quick-gps-fix update is running. Just not when 'not connected'. Therefore, this is something that should be fixed in the TomTom Sports App software itself, a task for the programmers.

So TomTom: please fix, and post the update on Google Play.
