Spark 3 no longer syncing through the app


Hello

My sports s3 is no longer syncing to my app on my android phone.

The watch connects and I'm told its updating the GPS. This gets to 100% then gets stuck on a tidying up task.

It doesn't upload any new routines.

I've reset the watch + this worked for a day.

The app on my pc works but I don't want to gave to book my pc up everytime I want to sync.

Any ideas?

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with this product. Its worked fine all this time. Clearly there is an issue here as I can see other posts relating to the same problem but it seems totom have no interest in fixing it.

TT Sports went out of business over a year ago, laying off the entire staff and ceasing all production and development so it is not alack of interest, there is simply no one to do it. The watches are now legacy devices and will remain unchanged go forward (as they have for over a year). Follow these steps to fix the GPS issues:

1) Plug the watch into the computer and in Sports Connect, click the Gear Icon
2) Press CTRL (Windows) or CMD (MAC) on your keyboard while you hover your mouse over the reset button.
3) You'll see the reset button turns into a "Turn Off" button.
4) Click it, disconnect the watch and the screen will go dead.
5) Reconnect the watch and it will wake up and quick fix should now update as usual.

It worked for one sync, but the problem is back again, so I can't really say it has fixed the issue.

I think I've learned my lesson with Tom Tom devices.

I also have issues in this updated version of the app on my Samsung S8.

are the bars in the memory empty? If not you might have a corrupted activity. I also have issues with tidying up and connecting ot the phone app. But in general if i follow these steps it works.
  1. open Bt on the phone
  2. open the app on the phone and wait for the looking for watch
  3. on your watch select on in the sync activities menu
  4. leave the app open and screen on untill you see synching in progress.
  5. after the sync/GPS update is complete close the app and disconnect watch (turn off sync in menu on watch)
As i said in general this works for me, but still needs a factory reset once in a while.....
