@MrTD two of us are actually testing an update which hopefully will fix this with further alterations.

That update like you worked for myself then died again.

There is more to it that just that.

@D-Stream
Yes I am aware there is more to this problem, actually every one is not suffering from the same problem as I have been in constant contact with CS they have managed to fix most of my camera alerts but there are still some problems that Tom Tom are aware of and still trying to resolve.
I have also been testing the update and have been feeding my info back to CS here is my latest response are there is still work to be done.

This is Tejal again from TomTom Customer Support following up with you.

I have now discussed this issue with our 2nd line technical team and we do have same issue reported by some other customers as well. Based on this we have created a ticket to be investigated on this and forwarded it to the developers.

Our developers are actively looking into this issue impacting some owners of some TomTom devices. I regret that at this time they have not determined the underlying cause and cannot therefore give me any reference point on when they will have the issue fixed.

We continue to investigate the issue and look forward to pushing an update via MyDrive / Updates and New Items on device to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

In the interim please accept my sincere apologies for any and all frustrations incurred.
You can contact me any time should you have any further questions or would like to discuss this matter further.

Thanks & Regards,

Tejal B.

I've done two journeys today and on both occasions the camera`s where correct. Also instantly there as well on the side bar and map as I approached them.

So far so good, test is Monday when ill go off the planned route to see if it picks cameras up off them.

@D-Stream
How about red light cameras have you come across any and did they work and show on your device.
Reason I ask is I travel 400+ mile each day and red light cameras are one thing that is still not working for some members and CS also agree other are missing these and some fixed cameras

Could I also ask how many miles your two journeys were ?
I do not think you can give a true indication of if the speed cameras are working unless you are travelling extensive miles around different parts of the country.

@MrTD I cannot speak for Tom Tom however currently two of us are in a "test mode" on our devices. We are actively live feeding back to Tom Tom. So far the camera`s I have had missing are there. I have a route with red light camera`s I will plot now and will be at it on Wednesday. I will feed this back also.

So far all my route camera`s have been there I have just done a route plot to Nottingham and it has Red light camera`s on the main roundabout. a610 They have all shown. If you don't mind a post code area with a from to I will plot a route through those area`s and show them. That way I can compare them and see if they are listed.

My understanding of the feedback is we are testing a solution to the camera issues and have reconfigured devices.

@D-Stream
You say you have a route plot. are you actually driving these routes ?
Plotting a route on your device and saying the cameras are working is incorrect.
I can tell you even though there may be cameras showing on a route plot this does not confirm the cameras are working correct, I do not just do route plots I drive the 400+ miles per day around different parts of the country covering England Wales and Scotland and I can say since the latest fix and my fix was done by tomtom tech and was a personnel fix to my device not a standard release, the cameras are NOT working fully and my findings have been passed back to TomTom tech

I am also well aware of many locations cameras should show but do not show, there are still some fixed cameras that show but no voice or sound warning is given just visual so although you may see them show on the map and side bar does not verify the speed camera warning working correct.

There has in the last few days some red light cameras shown on my maps and side bar but no given sound/voice warning when driving the route but they are there and they are active and they did show and give sound before the faulty update was issued.

Some variable speed cameras on Motorways show on the map and the side bar but do not give voice or sound warning
Motorways driven on before and after the problem began are M6 M60 M62 M1 M61 M65 M58 M66 M55 A627M M621 A1M A74M so quite an extensive route travelled

I will be doing a route on Wednsday that will take me through Leeds,Redcar,Stockton on Tees,Hartlepool.Sunderland,South Shields,Gateshead,Durham,Newcastle Upon Tyne,Ashington, across the A69 to Carlisle,Penrith,Kendal,Morcambe so quite a big test route, and will be reporting my finding back to Tom Tom direct

@MrTD as I’m currently in that area as it’s where I cover repping. I am actively covering upto and including those postcodes. Today Melton Mowbray Leicester Grantham. Boston Nottingham Cleveland. Team valley a19 a1 a66 plus more will be covered this week. M1 m621 m62 are areas I will be actively on also.

@VikramK No issues today.

Tomorrow i'll be on the dreaded previously missing m1 gantry camera`s.

Satnav has taken a database update. Ill inform you if all that's okay.

So far the reconfiguration is working in the sim card.
Hi all for me speed cameras working fine but

Live traffic die only in Holland.. Im connected to wifi and its ok.. No WiFi no traffic
Userlevel 4
I

have driven to Mansfield this morning. It’s has correctly identified all the m1 gantry cameras. Plus the red light camera today as I approached it.

They have all been on the side bar and also on the map.

@VikramK I have not experienced any issues since being in test mode. Only the losing of services temporarily.

Anything else you you wish to test ?

i can see on the map the traffic etc is very localised. Side bar working perfect.

So today I have spotted 4 red light cameras that do not show on device but they used to show.
Several fixed cameras
Also there seams to be a case of peek a boo now you see me now you dont

So I am going along the M62 my device shows no cameras for the next 31 miles @ 1.36pm

Whats that on the left hand side of the gantry ? its a speed camera that used to show before the problem

At 1.58pm the same route same M62 the device decides to show a camera 5 mile from end of my motorway stretch, Only shows the one camera in the side bar as you can see

I then pass this camera at 1.58 pm and then at 1.59 another camera appears on the side bar 4 miles down the road

So you see the problem is no where near solved, also it can not be solved by one or 2 people saying they have checked from A 2 B simple reason being I have already been informed that there was more than one problem effecting different devices.
What might work for one device may not work for another device.

Red light camera was missing here

Red light camera and fixed camera missing here both used to show clear before problem

Not forgetting the Mobile camera over the M1 south bound near Weatherby not showing any more but they were sat there today
Missing mobile camera hotspot Byker A193 always used to show not there now
Missing mobile camera hotspot A19 north and south bound near Thornaby

And all this in one day but I see the same every day running different routes

I can advise you i've just done a search to that address. NE10 0AH which takes me to Green lane "in test mode" as I am now with tom tom. Both of those cameras are displayed as you have highlighted.

40 mph fixed camera and 40 mph fixed and both are on the map.

From what i've done driving around every camera has flagged. Red light average etc.

I have also done to postcode m3 1ar which takes me down the m62 corridor and the gantry camera`s you have highlighted and ive cross referenced this to google maps, these have also displayed ready in preview for the route.

I can tell you they didn't before this.

As explained Viking and I are both actively hunting down and feeding back via pm the issue you are facing.

Im sure this will roll out as soon as we confirm it works.

@VikramK tom tom was in sleep mode last night with a route calculated all the camera`s have gone from this route.

side bar is empty from any traffic although they show on the map as delays and there are no camera`s displayed at all.. ill reboot and see what happens.

Rebooted via drum roll and all back and active.

If id of driven it im sure none would of flagged up.

I can advise you that as My pictures clearly show those cameras did not show and as I have already explained what is good for one device is not good for another I have also reported the problems I have experienced and Tejal from TomTom Customer Support has confirmed this problem does exist on mine and others devices and has been investigated by 2nd line technical team and passed to the developers.
So unfortunately as I have already pointed out this test you say you are doing is absolutely pointless and you yourself have confirmed this as you state these cameras all work fine where as my finding are total opposite and the photo evidence shows my findings

As for these cameras I can tell you yes they did show on the device before this problem began, I travel that route regular and can point the cameras out with out using speed cam alerts just as I can many other cameras,

Even the new cameras on the new stretch of smart motorway on the M62 junction 21 to junction 16 which is now complete those cameras even shown before the problem but are now hit and miss.

40 mph fixed camera and 40 mph fixed and both are on the map.
These 2 cameras are not both 40 mile fixed one is a dual red light/speed camera

@MrTD I don't see what your getting at.

I'm in a reconfigured unit that the team at tom tom are using as a test unit. I lost all the camera`s constantly I had none for like 3 4 weeks at a time of on gone not even a mobile camera.

we have both had the sim specifically reprogrammed for this task you don't have this. Only 2 of us do and we are feeding heavily back very specific journey information.

I've taken the time to do your routes and confirm back the camera`s show in this current test configuration.

My camera`s currently work as expected but we are in a completely different mode that the back room team can not offer or do for you currently.

Yes your camera`s do not work. In this current configuration I and Viking are testing, it works.

However you keep posting area`s that don't work. They know they don't and are causing issues for users. I'm happy to check the postcode area on a test route and post up where they should populate and confirm it with you if they appear on the map.

The mobile camera hotspot on Wetherby bridge a1 for instance is populated as is the a19 north and southbound. The bend before the a1 junction southbound also.

If I did a route before this update in my unit, it didn't show any camera`s on the preview mode or the route bar before a journey, It does currently and they announce. I've found a small issue not causing an a camera announce and its fed back.

Posting this one doesn't this one doesn't show work isn't moving the topic on.

I know its frustrating currently it was the same for me. If this stays stable through the camera database updates its doing then the team can hopefully do a rollout.

@D-Stream
The point I am getting at is how do you know my device has not been changed by the Tech team if you took the time to read what I had put earlier you would of noticed that yes my device has been setup in a similar way as your the only difference is I am not doing it through the forum,

And my main point is you are going on saying the cameras are working correct when they clearly are not.

Today is my first journey where I can say all cameras have shown and given alerts in the correct place and I have fed my information back to the Tech team, just as I did yesterday to explain what was still happening.
So you see there actually happens to be many people testing the cameras just because you were selected in the forum others were asked in the back ground.

When you are posting in a public forum they are working it can be very confusing to other members whose devices are not working correct.

Tom Tom are making adjustments as they receive information from may different members who are using many different devices.
There was actually 3 different type of problems all relating to speed cameras but they did not all relate to the same device.

Do you really think that 2 people could feed enough information back for the problem to be resolved ?

There must be millions of users out there using at least 12 different devices minimum, like I pointed out what is good for one device is not good for another hence the reason tomtom are running many tests besides the one you are involved in.

So I guess my point is my information regarding the speed camera is correct although you seam to think not as you point out all the cameras are working.

I don't actually get what your point is do you not feel others are allowed to have there say on the issue, you do not have the solution to a fix.

You are saying certain cameras are showing and I am saying the same cameras are not showing is that not what a discussion is about 2 sides and not one.

Any way as I have now received a further message to say my device should now be working correct and today it did actually work correct I think tom tom may of found a fix for my Model and I take it they have or will roll it out to all devices with the same Model number as mine.

So good luck with your testing

@VikramK the camera`s have been fine. Apart from one small issue today where mobile cameras on the m62 that where fixed camera`s that had been flagged did not appear on the side bar as a distance to. That needs looking into.
