TomTom Runner 2 & QuickGPS file


Why does the synching of activities from the runner 2 watch to the app take so long if at all. The app says just a moment but can take dozens of attempts and hours before it synchs. And yes the watch is updated every 3 days at least.

The 3 days is to get the QuickGPS file, it has nothing to do with syncing to the app. This is primarily affected by the strength of your phone's Internet connection. Ideally you want to be on WiFi or a very strong data connection as a poor connection will cause it to repeatedly fail and then have to start over.

Indeed the phone is connected to my wifi which is high strength but still hardly ever synchs straight away without at least lots of attempts. I have a garment edge which puts this in the shade for connectivity

Do you have the Garmin app on your phone? It is known to lock up the BT signal so other apps cannot access it. You may want to try either uninstall the Garmin app or doing a Forced Stop in app settings before syncing the TT and see if that helps.
