Hi all,

We've just released new maps v985 for all portable navigation products with a few exceptions.

Maps to be released later


  • Camper and truck maps (v986 released)
  • Europe map for uConnect (v985 released)
  • USA and USA/Canada maps for GO 5xxx-6xxx series / GO 4xx-6xx series devices (v986 released)

I'll update this announcement as soon as the above maps are also available.

Update: In addition to the maps listed above we also released the following maps:
  • Poland map for Carminat to fix a compatibility issue
  • Re-sized zones for Europe map for devices with 1 GB memory*

* Even though map updates can no longer be purchased for these devices, there are still some customers who have an active Map Update Service and we've decided to reduce the mapzone size (less countries) to make it easier to use the map on these devices.
Files for voice recognition and some (additional) POI information was removed from the zones to reduce the size.

    It's roughly 5 to 6 GB in size (there are multiple versions of the map).

    I suppose for the XL it would be somewhere around the 4-4.5 GB mark.

    after 2.5 hrs it is still showing 22% finished and varying from >5 hrs to 1 hrs 10 minutes left until completion of install!!=???

    You can try changing the default port in Settings for MyDriveConnect to 5000 and save settings. Also, might you have an anti virus or firewall impeding proper transmission?

    is the australia map ready? I have a VIA 62 and the australia is not avaliable unless I buy it? I can however update the New Zealand and south east asia maps for free??

    Maps on devices and various online platforms are not updated simultaneously so there might sometimes be discrepancies.

    our Tom Tom rider 400 is doing the same after the map update, have tried every thing you have and is still now working.

    I received an email today telling me there is a new map available for my camper and caravan unit. When I signed in to Mydrive it said I was up to date. I checked here and found that the new map (9.65) was released 19 days ago and that my map was to be released at a later date. I assume the fact TT know which system I have so have informed me by email because the map is available for my unit. When I check there's no update.
    So is the map ready or not?

    I have tried to go through the support function and when I choose C & C as Sat Nav type it just hangs and won't go any further. Pretty typical of my experiences with this product.

    So I'm told that the email which states quite clearly that I have a brand new map to be downloaded to my Go Camping unit is only a promotional email which everyone received. Now TT know what I have so why they would send me an email to update my map when they don't have it is just winding customers up.

    I have had exactly the same problems as you. Bought mine around Christmas for the wsbk normally a 4000k round trip (glad I had my paper maps)
    Have done all updates tried resets but only get 5-mins before it goes blank sometimes says "added new place"
    Would love to have the Oceania maps assigned as it seems to be the best fix
    My old rider v2 never gave me a single issue until I accidentally fried it

    It has been well over a month now and I don't see anything new in the Map Share Reporter or MyDrive (or Apple Maps). When are these maps usually updated? Very eager to make sure that my corrections were made.
