Tom Tom Support

Userlevel 1
Does Tom Tom no longer provide any real support for users?

This forum seems to be a place where you can ask questions, but if you have a software problem with your device and MyDrive there seems to be no way that you can get support staff on your case.

With my original Tom TOM go I was able to contact support and get someone to troubleshoot software issues. Now I cannot see that one can get through to them.

All that is available are the manuals and various procedures that don't work for me.

Perhaps there is a means of contact - but I can't find one.

To contact Customer Services by phone use the number below but do no give which device you have until you get through to a real person

Thank you - I'm rather curious; why should one not give the device when asked?

That is the page I keep landing on - but there does not seem to be any route to a real person from there.

Generally it seems that the original support people on this site have all been throwing in the towel.

Is this an indication, along with the others that Tom Tom support is going down the tubes?

As your unspecified device may be actually deemed to be beyond repair the system will guide you to this forum or their support pages 😞
Silence is a good hack to get through most automated systems 😉

My unspecified device is a Go 5000/5100, as reported in my original posting.

I fixed things myself by resetting, the device, removing the driver and reinstalling Mydrive Connect.

No help from Tom Tom though, things do seem to have get into a sorry state. I don't know how outfits like them survive.
