Thanks for the reply. I did exactly as you told me, Revo uninstaller has deleted everything and in addition has found three registry keys that I manually deleted. I restarted the pc, reinstalled mydrive connect but the problem remained the same, a loop infinite ... update quickly up to 7% then jump to 96% and then back to 7%. Now I ask for something, since I have the map installed on an 8 GB memory card, if I tried to format it (with the pc, tom tom does not let me do it) what would happen? I tried, yesterday, to update everything without a memory slot inserted but it was blocked.If I can not this time I will have to do without the go600 and I'm sorry, I see no alternative. Thanks anyway for advice.

Have you tried using a new sd card and re-installing the maps there and not the one you're using?
Avoid formatting the sd card which has the maps (at this point, at least) since you might end up not being able to have a "functional" satnav. To me it seems a corrupt download cache but it can still be some issue with the servers.

Hi
@Sapper520

Is the route a simple A to B or a multi stop route if multi stop zoom into the stops... Check the stop is in the correct side of a Motorway/Dual Carriageway is it badly placed up a side-road or on a roundabout

Have you chosen an 'Avoid' in the Setting menu that conflicts with the route

Are you using the Plan a Thrill option I seem to recall Avoiding Unpaved roads + the Plan a Thrill option can cause conflicts

In my opinion your problem is no longer the breakdown of TomTom servers but the lack of available space on your device. You should open a topic independent of this one.

It will be better to call TomTom Customer Support for more help:

If you have only one EU map in your TomTom device installed on the micro SD card, after formatting the micro SD card with the PC you will erase this EU map. Your TomTom device will give you a red banner = 'No Map' and will be unusable. Only solution install the map again.
The onboard memory of your GO600 has become too small to hold the EU map which is 8199 MB (over 8GB) and your 8GB micro SD card is also too small. You must use a micro SD class 10 of 16GB minimum (max 32GB).

The problem is that when you remove your 8GB micro SD to put the 16GB (or 32GB) your device will be blocked (No Map). You will need to format this new micro SD with your device TomTom (proprietary formatting), and it will not to be obvious with the banner 'No Map'.

Regards.

I agree, I will not format the card but I will change it. But in the meantime something has changed, something very important ... after the umpteenth reset, I went into the tom tom setup and while setting up the thetering connection with the phone and having low battery, was still connected to the PC, I saw the progress of the state exit from the loop and get to 100, very quickly indeed. In the go600 info the map and the operating system are now updated to the latest version, without that never once Mydrive connect has signaled to me the end of the operations correctly.What something went in the right direction also shows the fact that now My driveconnect offers me two new updates ..... but for the next weeks I do not think I will connect again the tomtom to the pc. Smile. Thanks to you and everyone for their help and advice. Gianni from Italy.

Hi
@oreroman

What map is now installed ??? the Full Europe Map 8.166 GB or the Europe Map (Without building) should NOT fit onto your GO 600 (8GB) or your Memory card (8GB)
Neither Map should install onto 8GB

Has a Map zone been installed ???

ATB YFM
Thanks YFM, I think I’ve worked it out......

Once I’ve planned a route, both A to B and routes with my own stops, I ‘send destination’........the unit displays ‘Lets Go’.....I go into ‘Current Route’.......then press ‘Add to my Routes’.......and it works.

By doing it this way, all routes are now listing in ‘My Routes’ and working. However, some have a solid arrow next to them others have an arrow with a dotted stem?

good evening to all, all my problem, so I disturbed many of you, it was due to the sd 8 gb. too small .... now I have bought a 32 gb and the update (infinite ahahah) is proceeding without problems. With some guilt, I greet everyone and thanks again.

Hi
@Sapper520

The 'Send to Device' quite literally means send the planned .ITN Route to the device
it doesn't store the route in MyRoutes

See this thread.... For using .ITN Routes (Send to Device) + Workaround
https://en.discussions.tomtom.com/go-5xxx-6xxx-series-go-4xx-6xx-series-go-via-and-start-4x-6x-series-mydrive-connect-176/planned-route-not-showing-on-tt-6250-1034143/index1.html#post1214660

Also see this post.... for using .GPX Tracks (Save & Sync)

Thanks again YFM, I’m slowly getting to grips with it.

Why can’t anyone come up with a simple way of doing things, so simple people like me can get it straight away? Maybe one day.........
After several days of problems updating my rider 410 and failing (I hadn't seen the outage advised on this site) I now seem to have a bigger problem. The unit fires up but ends up with a symbol for a desktop PC (I have a Mac) and a TomTom with a cable and an X between them. I take it this means to connect to the MAC but it won't connect. Looks to like the Rider SW needs a complete reset. Any ideas how to get it talking to the Mac again?

OK ignore the above, I've just found a page detailing how to get the unit to recover itself. I'll go through that first./

Not resolved for me unfortunately. When I try and update my new GO 5100 it just goes into a continuous loop 0 to 100% again and again. I have run out of patience and have not got the time to keep trying so will take it back to the shop for a refund. I will not be buying any more TomTom devices for the foreseeable future as the updates fiasco is dreadful.

Hi
@Mellowstones

It looks like your Rider 410 has gone into Recovery Mode

Hi
@bbrukuk

Try....
Download & install the free version of Revo Uninstaller
Here...https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
Revo first uninstalls the Program... Then scans and removes all of the left over files a normal uninstall leaves behind

(1)... Uninstall MyDrive Connect Using the Revo Uninstaller
(2)... Clear your browsers cache (Optional, but I find it helps)
(3)... Restart your PC (Not Turn Off & Turn On again)
Reinstall MyDrive Connnect (Without your device connected)
Connect & Turn on your device... Login to MyDrive Connect

The NAV4 GO 5000 / 5100, 8GB + micro-SDHC slot

The GO 5000 / 5100 only Has 8GB internal memory
Before you even install a Map the the device needs a Operating system (NavCore) + Minimum of 400MB working space

The latest full Europe map is 8.166 GB (You can't split the Map across the onboard Memory and a Memory card)
If you want the Full Europe Map...
(1)... You need to install a branded 16 GB Mico SDHC Class 10 Memory card
OR
(2)... Install one of the smaller Europe MapZones

Revo only works on a PC I believe, at least the free version does.

I have reloaded TomTom connect and I deleted my device just in case there was something kicking around that was causing the problem. Now I'm no further on as the connect program won't pick up my device at all despite it showing as a connected device on the MAC network. I can get the device into the spinning circle state but that doesn't trigger anything within the Connect program. I have checked (or unchecked) anything that I think might be causing a problem in the way of firewalls etc but no luck. It feels like it's bricked but there must be another way of getting it running again without sending it off to Tom Tom?

This all started when I checked for updates in the normal way and my MAC downloaded Nav4 and the other SW updates but then failed on the download to the device. My device is a Rider 410 and although the release notes say 18.2 is suitable for the 410 I'm not so sure. Also my Mac is on IOS 10.14 (Mohave) and is an Intel machine so again the release notes say this should be ok.
