I tried ringing their technical support on 020 738 7544 and got through to the menu system, opted for tech support then waited 15 mins on the phone with no answer. I find it hard to believe that a company you would expect to be pretty large has such a naff system. Is this normal or am I using the wrong number?

You called the right number, but their lines are much busier than usual. The 0845 number would take you to the same place.

If I had wanted to listen to Boney M for umpteen minutesduring a call to Customer Services I could have downloaded from ITunes much cheaper.

Had a simple question as I WAS considering upgrading my old GO 500.  Might as well forget it now (although I have just bought the Canada USA maps).  Obviously TomTom don't need repeat business. This will be my 3rd TomTom (not including those that I have recommended to others). NOT IMPRESSED with Customer Service.

If ALL else fails try 0031 208501004. This put me straight through to Amsterdam Customer Services and the call was answered within 60 seconds. That's where all the UK calls are transferred to. Hope this helps a bit. And I did not have to listen to Boney M....!!!!!!! Ian H

    Rider communication issues, anyone help??

the unit works prefect when connected to the charged mount, but if I connect the charging cable, it asks me to to connect the *Car Hands-Free Kit*  and I get no more blue tooth coms to the Cardo Scala G4 head set

    Any suggestions welcome.

Believe  TomTom have some serious questions to answer regarding the availability of their Customer Service.  Has anybody tried referring to BBC Watchdog?.  If not I will.

    COULD DO A LOT BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just spent 15 minutes trying to get a quick question answered. One of the songs on hold? "I Don't Want to Wait in Vain".

Thanks for the local call rate number. I emailed originally 9/6/12 and received an apology for not replying to my query and sorting it out yet.. (!!).

I called them today and they are going to send me a prepaid return box with postage etc for my tomtom to be given a minor repair to the cover to the usb part of the urban rider satnav to make it waterproof again.

I am surprised it is so difficult to get through to tomtom customer services but once you do get through the service and the politeness of the staff is really good.

Shame you have to jump through hoops just to get in touch with them and be very persistent rather than just give up, or does the cynic in me think that might be the idea???

This number takes me to an Spanish call centre who don't speak English. Frankly I'm sick up to the teeth with Tom Tom. I can't download a Turkish map I've PAID for. I'm going to Turkey tomorrow. I can't find a English speaking call centre. I want my money back. The web site is pants. Give me a number I can ring so I can get my money back!!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. How can a company as big as Tom Tom have such a poor or totally absent 'Contact Us'  link.

For a company in the 'Navigation' business they should start first by improving their web navigation.

@angry123: You didn't really ask what PM is, did you? I don't want to look like a moron, but It is afternoon.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PM

If you meant PM as in the forum, then it means Private Message.

The link is pretty much straight forward to gain access to the contact details:
