The account I use to log in to TT is no longer valid, so how do I change the email address on my account?

Cheers

Go to www.tomtom.com and log into your account under the old email address.

Then go to account settings and change the email address there.

If you have LIVE or PLUS services, then afterwards you'll need to also change your account on the Tomtom device to the new email, by going to MyTomtom Account in the device's settings menu.

    What can I do?

    aaa@bbb.com is the proper format.

You can have periods within the prefix but not the suffix so TomTom will accept a.aa@bbb.com but not aaa@b.bb.com

xxxx@yahoo.co.uk is an invalid email address...?  I think thousands of yahoo & hotmail users would disagree

someone in TomTom has got this badly wrong...

I don't think it is invalid.

xxxx@yyyy.co.uk certainly IS a valid format!  Why not check up instead of simply saying "I dont't think it's valid"

Can someone please post a link. I logged in, but, I can't find any link to account services.

This is with respect to my tomtom account for my device, not the forum (the account settings for the forum I found easily).

    Thanks.

On the main TT page, upper right corner, MyTomTom, log in, My Account.

"On the main TT page, upper right corner, MyTomTom, log in, My Account."

Thanks Zsolt. However, that doesn't show up when I login. Here is a screenshot:

    Screenshot for mytomtom_new.png

I did try logging into mydrive as well, but, I couldn't find any Settings or Account link in there either.

When I click on MyTomTom again, it just brings me to the web page I posted above.

I don't see it. Although I hope I haven't been staring at the computer too long!

It seems from the screenshot that you have a 720 model. If so, you should be using Home 2, not MyDrive. Get it at tomtom.com/home.

Hi, I have two units, a GO720 and a GO820, however I only have one email address. I wish to get maps for the GO 820 however the system wont allow me to get them because I have to have a second email address, What's going on, I'm a dinosaur and I don't under stand what you supposedly very intelligent operators are trying to put me through. I have tried on several occasions and cant get in because the program tells me its not able to put me through this time, try some time in the future.

You need a separate email address for each device. That's just how it is.

An email address doesn't even have to be real, just in the proper somebody@somewhere.com format

Have a look at this topic too on how to manage multiple emails/devices!
