Question

TomTom XL states 'YOU ARRIVED AT DESTINATION' before actually did

I am new here and need some help. We were driving yesterday using the Tom Tom XL which by the way has always worked perfectly for me.
In all the years I have owned it, it has never failed. But yesterday something went wrong. While it took me to the town I needed to be in, it did not get me to my actual destination address. Twice it took me to the town the hotel was in but not the actual address. Same thing happened for the restaurant we wanted to go to, It took us to the town but not the actual restaurant. So I used my gps on my phone via google maps and I was able to find both the hotel and the restaurant.
Does anyone know why this is happening all of sudden.
Also my sound keeps shutting off once it reaches destination and I turn it off or switch to another address or favorite to input in the tom tom gps.
I recently updated maps on Friday because I knew I was traveling for the weekend. What went wrong?
Thanks in advance for you help!:D

Remember after each up date to do a soft reset, you will loose nothing, it is like rebooting your computer and reloads all the new files from an update.

A soft reset :- with your device charged for at least 2Hrs "OR" have the device plugged into a power supply; press and hold your on/off button until you hear a drum-roll sound (or the TomTom hands symbol appears) then release the on/off button. Make sure you are outside and have a clear view of the sky (satellites)
