Cannot update as PC recognises TomTom Xl as "INTERNAL" in "Portable Devices" in "Device Manager"

Hi Guys,

I cannot use MyDrive to update the maps on our TomTom Xl as as the PC recognises TomTom Xl as "INTERNAL" in "Portable Devices" in "Device Manager", and MyDrive will not recognise the device when I try to add it.

I have followed advice here at the link below, but the tomtom does not appear under "Network Adapters" as it describes but appears under the "Portable Devices" node and is listed as "INTERNAL". I know this is the TomTom as if I disconnect the USB lead this node becomes empty. Oddly I can use windows explorer to browse the device which comes up as a new drive called "TomTom" so it looks like the pc is treating it as attached storage.

Any suggestions what to try, please?

You need Home for that model, not MyDriveConnect.

Excellent. Thank you I will download that and try.
Thank you both. TomTom Home 2 installed and it recognised my device. Downloading updates as I type.
