Trucker 600 and MyDrive app

The MyDrive app for android doesn't list the trucker 600. It only shows the Trucker 620.
Also, on my Trucker 600, there is NO option for bluetooth.

One of the selling points for this GPS was the ability to connect to MyDrive and have current traffic conditions show up on the nav-bar. This is not happening....

Ok, on my Trucker 600 I go into the main menu and select TomTom Services. Because it is connected to my computer it shows Traffic, Safety Camera Updates, and MyDrive all being Activated. When I go to the main nav screen it will not show Traffic, I have the traffic symbol with an "X". When I disconnect my Trucker 600 from my computer, nothing is activated.

I see no option in my Trucker 600 to connect to phone. In MyDrive phone app, there isn't a Trucker 600 device listed.

My device is:
Serial Number - Z8xxxxxxx (0)
Application version - 17.200.0011.311 (0) (06/25/2017)

How do I get the traffic to show up on my Trucker 600???

Is there some magic activation code I need to put in to unlock the Bluetooth?

Mod edit: Please, don't post private information on a public forum. Thanks!

You can treat the Trucker 600 as a GO 600 as far as the connection goes. It's basically the same device.

You should be able to pair the 600 using Bluetooth following the instructions in the app. (Assuming your phone plan allows for internet sharing.) If you can not pair, please let us know what you are seeing.

About TomTom services
TomTom services give you real-time information about traffic and safety cameras on your route.
To get TomTom services on your Trucker you need the following items:

  • Any Trucker.
  • A smartphone with a data plan from a mobile services provider.
  • The TomTom MyDrive app for iOS or Android installed on your smartphone.
  • A TomTom account.
Using TomTom services means that data is sent and received by your phone using your mobile
services provider.

All right! Using the GO 600, and resetting the Trucker 600 did the trick. I finally got it to see my phone and what not. It would be nice if there was an option to connect to a phone without having to reset the Trucker 600.

Now I am wondering if the other issue with Syracuse, NY is still "on-going". 😛
Got it to work, thank you. Combination of using the GO 600 in the phone app and resetting the Trucker 600 so I had the option to connect to a phone did the trick.

I'm guessing the other issue is on-going. If there is a map error regarding truck restrictions those can take a while to fix. It's a little surprising the error exists given you're dealing with major highways but perhaps years ago there was a temporary truck restriction due to construction, someone reported it, and it's been like that ever since. You're definitely doing the right thing by reporting the error but note it may take quite a bit of time (a map cycle or two) until it's fixed.

You should't have to reset but, hey, if it worked, glad you thought of it! These things have a lot of mystery. (Or misery, if you prefer that adjective! :?)

LOL I am thinking 'bout the same thing being someone reported construction as a truck restriction and it "stuck".... As for the time to cycle a fix.... um... Yeah, I figure it will take some time. Maybe a "temp" fix with the map-share options??? (scratching head....) 🆒

As far as I know, map-share updates don't fix truck restrictions. Pretty sure they are limited to speed limits and road names.

New phones are no longer linking to the 600 by Bluetooth. My brother updated with a new phone and then I did. The Bluetooth version in the 600 is no longer visable or seeing the phone. Can you fix this please. Don't understand stand? Go get a pixel3 and try to link it for traffic. It won't. Please update the Bluetooth.

Did you try to delete the old pairing on the devices (with the old phone if it is still around and the 600). Then restart the 600 and try to pair again.
Rofl, yes. I know it's a question towards most of the educated ones. But yes. It's a new andriod version and Bluetooth version. As stated, two different people and models of phones. Thanks for the laugh.
