Memory space very low

My GPS is running slow and, after updating, there is very little memory left. Is there unnecessary data on the device that I can delete and free up some space? If so, how is it done?

For starters, remax, try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. That sometimes speeds things up.

Also, the 1535 has a card slot for map expansion (depending upon the 1535 model, it may be where the cable connects to the device or perhaps at the bottom of the device. Or even on the back).

So, a 16 gb card by SanDisk seems a good choice. While the device can handle up to 32 gb cards, that seems like overkill.
Thank you. I will try that.
