In the last 3 months I am having problems with my Tomtom I have to update it every 5 days for it to keep find GPS signal and it when it is updated the route I have progammed it is slow and sometimes freezers for a minute saying can't find gps signal. It is really frustrating me as I never had this problem before,

    Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds.

    I did that and there was a drum sounds what does that do ?

    It resets the system. Similar to rebooting a computer.

    Hi DHN and Honeyzuckle,
    I have the same problem - no GPS signal - but I don't understand how to hold the power button down.
    Will you please explain it to me?

    Have you changed your vehicle in the last 3 months? Are you using your Start 25 in one not previously used?

    I had my GO510 replaced during warranty time due to not receiving GPS signals for hours and none at all. Even with the replaced model I get no consistent signal and the device rarely works. I am driving regularly in North Queensland for five hours and more. I don't know what to do, I usually have not the time to queue for hours on the telephone to get support. The rebooting with the drum set sound does not help my device.
    After having used TomTom products for many years I am looking at other brands. This model seems to have too many defects???

    A very disappointed customer
