I just completed updating my GO 600. I now have 0 bytes free on the device and cannot add any more places. I have a completely empty 16 MB memory card in the device, but I see no way to load the map on that drive and, from what I understand, My Places will not go on the memory card. How do I get the map to load on the memory card?

    Hello,
I'm not sure if it is useful, but try this manual - http://www.usermanuals.tech/d/tomtom-go-manual

    Hi V Xero,

According to our logs you SD card is also full. I'd recommend you to format your SD card in your computer, reset your device by pressing and holding down the power button until you hear a drumming sound (ca 15 sec) and the re-insert the SD card into it. Then connect your device to your computer again and re-download the map.

Please, post back here to tell us how you're doing with this.

@ JaStuart: User manuals are available at http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/manual?filter=manuals

    Cheers, Mikko

First off, it's kind of spooky that you know the status of my SD card!

In MyDrive Connect under My Content, it says the Memory Card has 15130 MB free, yet when it's in my computer File Explorer says there are 8 files starting with TOMTOM.000 and ending in TOMTOM007. What are these files?

As you said, it was full. I formatted it, held down the button until I got the drumming sound, then inserted the SD Card in the device. It asked what I wanted to use it for, I said maps and formatted it for maps. It said " formatting successful the memory card is now ready for use with this device." I tried to install Map Share Community Map Update, but it says "The selected item(s) won't fit on the device. Create some free space or insert a memory card." How do I move the USA map to the SD card?

    Hi V Xero,

We see some information of the connected devices in our backend systems to help us monitor the update flow and troubleshoot problems. However, I think I misread this. There seems to be space on the SD card but since you've now formatted it, it should actually be empty.

According to our logs the MapShare update was installed successfully. MapShare updates are patches for the map. As your map is currently in the internal memory, it was installed there.

    Cheers, Mikko

I tried it again and a screen came up that let me move the USA map off the device. At the top of that screen there was a tab that had what looked like an SD card on it so I clicked on that and it let me install the map on the SD card. Neat! Is there a way to access that screen again or does it only pop up when the device memory is full?

    Hi V Xero,

I'm glad to hear you got it sorted! :D Now it looks good from here as well!

The Content Wizard currently indeed only pops up when you run out of space on your device.

    Cheers, Mikko
