Anyone here got a Huawei y300 Ascend phone?
I can't get my new Go 40 to see any phone or device let alone connect to one.
It sees no phones.
My iPad sees my phone and vice versa, but won't pair to each other. So at least it def is discoverable.

Any ideas / help people's??
Any idea about a Huawei Ascend Y300 phone and a Go 40 please? Mine won't see each other.

Hi Zsolt,
my phone Huawei G630-U20've purchased through Movistar in Spain.
has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (msm8212) Processor and Bluetooth 4.0 EDR
and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
if my smartphone does not have the PAN profile , I can use some application to work ?

I think the Huawei Y630 is very similar to the Y550 and they do not have Blue-Tooth tethering and at the moment there are no ROM’s for this phone, well not for the Y550 anyways so we are up a creek without a paddle on this one.

Lucky for me my 4 year old ZTE Blade is still working with my Go400.

I've found that my Samsung Ativ S (which is a Windows phone) works fine with my Go 610.

It runs Windows Phone 8.1 Update.

I just went to Settings > Internet Sharing > Share over bluetooth. I ticked allow bluetooth devices to switch sharing from WiFi to Bluetooth.

Then went to Settings > Bluetooth. Switched on bluetooth, and paired.

Been running fine for about a month.

My wife has just bought a Go510, and uses it with a Nokia Lumia 625. Also runs fine.

Both mobiles are on the Three network, which allows tethering.

Hope that this helps.:)
Userlevel 4
Nexus 5 working fine with Go500/Go510
Tried mobile network and WiFi. Both connection working fine.
At this moment switch off Mobile internet (accidentally with Youtube used all monthly data allowance), but Traffic information fine working from WiFi. A lot WiFi hotspots in our area.
When drive abroad to avoid Roaming data charges use only internet over WiFi (petrol stations, McDonalds and etc.)
The Vodafone smart ultra 6 works with some sims but not others, I guess it depends on the networks tethering policy.

I have an old Huawei G300 that would not work because of the lack of BT tethering menu but to get the menu with the BlueTooth tethering I had to flash a Cyanogenmod ROM to it and that's not for the faint hearted.
Don't bother, Cost me £1 a day !!!! Tooooo much!!

Are you referring to how much data the Go’s uses because on a run from Bristol to Manchester mine uses a few pence using a 3 network 3-2-1 sim @ 1p per Mb.
Being an Android man I thought I would have a play around with a Window’s 8.1 phone and can announce that the Nokia Lumia 635 works fine with Bluetooth tethering to my Go400 so I will guess that all W 8.1 phones should work if the network allows it.

After you hit your limit, Virgin charge me £1 a day even though I set my mobi. to my data limit, they say your mobi. isn't in sink, mine is a Samsung Galaxy, so I unpaired it.You don't need it anyway!
Ive got a iphone 4S and ive just brought a GO510....
Are they not compatible??? as my tomtom keeps saying they cant connect... "connection unsuccessful. Make sure tomtom GO 510 is turned on and in range" when they are both on and sitting next to each other! 😞
If not very disapointing as that was the ONLY reason i got that 1 for bluetooth

Not an Apple man myself but according to TT they should work with iOS 6 and above.
